| Experience | Since 1980 I have been a general practitioner with a concentration in litigation, primarily for insurance, financial and small business clients. Representative clients would include Allied/Nationwide Insurance, Employers Reinsurance Corporation, Founders Insurance Company, Universal Casualty Company, American Heartland Insurance Company, American Service Insurance Company, Kingsway Insurance Company, Stonegate Insurance Company, and Mercury Insurance Company. In addition I have been employed at Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, as a part time associate professor in the Business and Accounting Department since 1982, where my duties are limited to teaching one or two Business Law courses annually. In 2000 I attended and completed the course sponsored by the Rock Island County Bar Association for those attorneys interested in serving as arbitrators. Since that time I have served as an arbitrator on many occasions. Since June 2005 I have served as an administrative hearing officer for the Illinois municipalities of Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Hampton, Silvis and Milan, as well as the County of Rock Island, conducting hearings regarding alleged ordinance violations. Additionally, I serve the City of Moline as its Zoning Hearing Officer for zoning variance requests. |
